Table Speed Control Valve Function

The table speed control valve regulates the rotation speed of the wrapper’s table:

  • When fully closed, the table will not rotate.
  • As the valve is opened, the table speed increases.
  • If some speed adjustment is possible, it is less likely that the internal spool is sticking.

Spool sticking issues may occur occasionally, but usually only when the oil is hot.

Checking the Valve Spool

  1. Remove the hex cap at the end of the valve.
  2. Ensure that the spool inside slides smoothly within its housing.

Cable Adjustment Procedure

  • Loosen the locknut at the end of the adjustment cable.
  • Adjust the threaded section in or out with a 12 mm spanner.
  • Adjustment can be made at either end of the cable; both methods have the same effect.
  • Test in both directions to see if table speed changes.

A video demonstration of this adjustment process is available (refer to support resources).

If Speed Does Not Improve

  • The issue may be with the table drive motor.
  • Check whether the table holds its position firmly when parked.

Support Recommendation

If adjustments do not resolve the problem, it is recommended to have a local machinery service provider inspect the machine. Troubleshooting hydraulics remotely can be limited, especially if the operator does not have extensive hydraulic experience.
