The problem may be related to Valve V26.
Function of Valve V26
- V26 is a pilot-operated holding valve that holds the rollers in the closed position.
- If V26 does not pilot open correctly, it can prevent the roller arms from opening.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Location of Valve V26
- See image below for the valve position on the machine.
- Adjustment
- Try adjusting the screw on V26 outwards slightly and check if the roller arms open.
- Swap Test
- Valve V34 is the same type as V26.
- Swap V26 with V34 to test if the roller arms open correctly with the alternate valve.
- Contamination Check
- If removing the valve from the block, inspect for contamination.
- Pay particular attention to the small pilot hole on the side of the valve. Clean if necessary.
Notes:
- Always take care when adjusting hydraulic components.
- If contamination is found, further inspection of the hydraulic system may be required to prevent recurrence.
