Step 1.
Check if the Cut & Start Opens fully in Manual Mode.
a. If it opens fully in Manual Mode, then the accumulator is Good.
b. If the Cut and Start does not open fully, then there may be a problem with the oil charge pressure in the accumulator.
There is a pressure test point on the cylinder to test this pressure, it should be 40-45 bar.
Step 2.
If the Cut & Start only has the opening problem while wrapping (in Auto Mode), then it may be solved with a controller setting change.
In the Technician Setup, there is a setting: C&S Close time.
The default setting for 'C&S Close' time is 2.5 seconds - increase this setting to 8.0 Seconds. This will give the cutter more time to open.
