Electrics
1. Insert the 3 Pin 'Plug' into the 'Socket' within the tractor cab*.
*If the tractor does not have a 3-pin 'socket', remove the 3 Pin Plug, exposing the a Brown (+) and Blue (-) wire, connect the Brown (+) wire to a positive and the Blue (-) wire to a negative power source (12v).
2. Connect the RDS Controller to the wrapper via a 24 pin cable.
3. Power Up the Controller by turning the Emergency Stop button (Red) clockwise.
Hydraulics
There are 2x Hydraulic Hoses (1/2” m.c.) marked with Red and Blue Tabs.
1. Connect the Red Hose to the Feed
2. Blue Hose to the Return*
Always ensure the Red Hose is in the Feed Port (Pressure) and The Blue is in the Return Port (Tank) as damage to the Hydraulic system can be caused by reversing these.
*Note:
It is highly recommended to Return oil directly 'Back to Tank', to eliminate Back-Pressure.
35 Litres Per Minute is ideal.
Plastic Film
1. Ensure the Top Cone is pushed up to the latched position.
2. Push back the 'Dispenser Insert' until held in position by the 'Bottom Latch'.
3. Place the Roll on the 'Bottom Cone' and release the Top Latch. Beware of fingers!
4. Pull the film between the rollers on the Dispenser Insert in the direction of the
arrow, as shown below.
5. Release the Bottom Latch and allow the rollers to lie against the roll of film.
6. Pull the film from the roll and tie it to the bale.
*Note:
Film is stretched to 70% as standard. In very hot conditions (+40 degrees celsius) reduce stretch to 55% to avoid tearing the plastic, which will have softened in the heat.
Optional 33% Dispenser Gears are also available
It is very important to choose a high quality bale wrapping film. 25 μm (micron) is recommended.
